To My Fellow Koreans:
Before we fight against all tools of Roh Moo-Hyeon and Kim Jeong Il at the very critical moment in the history of Korea, we must have a correct view of who we are. Many right-wingers seem to think only the approval of Roh's impeachment by Constitutional Court would solve all kinds of the current problems in Korea. Not at all and in fact far from it. We should care about ourselves first, who we are on the inside.

한국역사에 있어서 가장 아슬아슬한 위기에 처해 있는 이즈음, 우리가 노무현과 김정일의 모든 수단에 대항하여 싸우기 이전에, 우리는 우리의 정체성에 대한 올바른 견해를 가져야 합니다. 많은 우익인사들은 헌법재판소에 의하여 노무현씨의 탄핵이 승인되는 것만이 지금 한국안에서 온갖 종류의 문제점들을 해결할 것으로 생각하는 것 같습니다. 그것은 전혀 그렇지 않으며, 실제로 거리가 먼 얘기입니다. 우리는 먼저 마음속으로 우리가 누구인지 스스로에 대하여 관심을 가져야 합니다.
Do you think you really act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God? Aside from acting justly and loving mercy, just ask yourself whether you are walking humbly with your God, before you blame President Roh and his followers.
여러분들은 정의를 행하며, 사람을 사랑하며 그리고 겸손하게 여러분들의 하나님과 함께 행한다고 생각하십니까? 정의를 행하고 사람을 사랑하는 것은 둘째 치고라도, 노무현대통령과 그의 추종자들을 비판하기 전에, 겸손하게 여러분들의 하나님과 함께 행하고 있는지 스스로에게 질문하여 보십시오.
Today it is difficult to walk humbly with God because we are told all to often that all men are essentially good. The lie that man is good in and of himself is one of the most destructive lies we can pass on to the next generation of Christians. The belief in the fundamental goodness of man prevents us from walking humbly with God because it allows us to take pride in our accomplishments.
오늘날 우리는, 모든 사람들은 본질적으로 선하다고 우리 모두에게 얘기되어졌기 때문에 겸손하게 하나님과 함께 행하는 것은 어려운 일입니다. 인간이 원래/자기 스스로 선하다고 하는 거짓말은 다음세대의 그리스도인들에게 전해질 수 있는 가장 파괴적인 거짓말들 중의 하나입니다. 인간의 근본적인 선함에 대한 믿음은 우리의 성취에 대한 자만심을 갖게 하기 때문에 우리를 겸손하게 하나님과 함께 행하지 못하게 합니다.
Calvin stated that “it is the very beginning of worshiping and glorifying God when men entertain a humble and low opinion of themselves.” If we maintain that we are fundamentally good then we can not walk before God with humility. We would do ourselves and the next generation of Christians a great service if we were to recapture a biblical view of man.
칼빈은 " 인간이 스스로 겸손하고 낮아지는 마음을 가질 때 하나님을 예배하고 영광을 돌림에 있어서 첫걸음이다. " 라고 말하였습니다. 만일 우리는 근본적으로 선하다는 것을 견지한다면 그러면 우리는 겸손하게 하나님 앞에서 행할 수가 없습니다. 만일 우리가 인간의 본질에 대한 성경적인 견해를 되찾게 된다면 우리 자신에게나 다음세대의 그리스도인에게나 큰 공헌이 될 것 입니다.
In a revelation from God, Jeremiah poignantly describes the condition of man in chapter 17 verse 9. “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” scripture clearly indicates that we are not good. Rather we are deceitful, sinful, and incapable of curing our selves.
하나님의 계시 안에서 예레미야서는 예레미아서 17장 9절에서 "만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 누가 능히 이를 알리요 " 라고 인간의 상태를 날카롭게 묘사했습니다. 성경은 명백하게 우리는 선하지 않다고 지적합니다. 오히려 우리가 우리 자신을 치유한다는 것은 기만적이고, 죄스럽고, 불가능한 일입니다.
With such a heart, we can't fight against those red groups supported and managed by the evil regime. The fact we have not acted justly, not loved mercy, not walked humbly with God, we are facing this horrible conflicts among Koreans and the whole society is suffering. Let us see the essence of the problem and put more value on our attitudes, changes, and our beliefs.
그러한 마음을 가지고서는 우리는 악한 정권에 의하여 지원받고 조종되는 붉은 그룹들에 대항하여 싸울 수가 없습니다. 우리가 정의롭게 행하지 않고 사람을 사랑하지 않고 겸손하게 하나님과 함께 행하지 않았다는 사실로 인하여, 우리들은 한국인들 사이의 이러한 끔찍한 다툼에 직면하고 있으며 온 사회가 고통받고 있습니다.
우리 모두는 문제의 핵심을 봅시다 그리고 우리의 태도와 변화 그리고 우리의 믿음 위에 더욱 가치 있는 것을 올려 놓읍시다.
May God protect Korea against unjustice, arrogance / pride, and corruption, so that we would act with justice towards everyone in our life, would love mercy because God has dealt mercifully with Korean, and would walk humbly with our God after realizing we are all sinful, wicked, and deceitful.

하나님께서 부정의와 거만/자만, 그리고 부패로부터 한국을 보호하셔서, 우리가 우리 삶에 있어서 모든 사람을 향하여 정의롭게 행하게 하시고 하나님은 한국인에게 자비를 베푸셔서 사람을 사랑할 수 있게 하소서. 그리고 우리는 모두 죄인이고 약하고 거짓되다는 것을 깨닫게 하신 후에 우리 하나님과 함께 겸손하게 행하게 하소서.
