Do not believe that only 82 pecent of Americans support the plan to withdraw a third of its 37,000 troops stationed in South Korea. I would rather say more than 90% support the plan. In addition, they would support the plan to withdraw all of the U.S. forces from S. Korea. As far as I know of President Bush, he is a sincere Christian who would not abandon a free country to the evil regime. But the current problem is American has become S. Korea's biggest enemy and S. Korea has become no more an ally to America. Many Korean-Americans like to say to me,
"As a man sows, so he shall reap. As S. Korea sows, so she shall reap."

Results of a poll released Tuesday show that 82 percent of Americans support the current Bush administration's plan to cut one-third of Uncle Sam's forces in South Korea by the end of next year.
In the survey conducted by the U.S. FOX television news company, 59,630 of the 72,327 Americans who took part said the pullout was a "good idea" and that the American troops were needed "elsewhere."

Although the survey is not a scientific poll, some experts say it is seen to represent the general opinion of the American public.

Korea watchers say the survey results also show the strong feelings of many Americans who feel they have over-sacrificed themselves for an ungrateful ally.

Although the decision on the exact number and timeline for the withdrawal have not been finalized, Seoul is preparing to beef up its own 650,000 military in order to become more self-reliant in its defense against North Korea's 1.1 million troops.
But many Americans are wondering why Korea is adamant about keeping the troops now, after the U.S. announcement.
